Last year 7 members of the BPA were awarded bursaries which they used to help them progress in the sport.
Are you between 16 and 21 years and want to take part in some air sport flying but lack the funds? If the answer is yes then read on as the UK’s Royal Aero Club Trust has a range of bursaries on offer during 2010 worth up to £1,000 each.
The Royal Aero Club Trust has been offering bursaries for ten years and during that time many hundreds of bursaries have been awarded for a wide range of sport flying activities.
Activities available in the programme include gliding, ballooning, paragliding, hang gliding, parachuting, flying microlights, motor gliders, fixed wing aeroplanes and helicopters, and building and flying model aircraft. Bursaries are also available for Personal Computer or Flight Simulator pilots wishing to have their first experience of an air sport.
The 2010 series of bursaries include the Peter Cruddas Foundation Scholarship worth up to £1,000; two further bursaries each worth up to £750, and additional bursaries worth up to £500 each to anyone between 16 and 21 years of age wishing to progress their interest in either air sports or aviation. The closing date for applications is 31 March 2011.
