If you visit Netheravon with the club you will find a large, lively dropzone with excellent facilities. Netheravon operates two Cessna Caravans and two Islanders (one turbine, one piston) which together can take over 100 skydivers per hour. Since the piston Islander can only go to 10,000ft, it is usually used for the RAPS students to free up space on the remaining aircraft that all fly to 13,500ft. Some weekends there is also the opportunity to jump a Skyvan or a Turbolet and recently there have even been jumps from a Tiger Moth - as used in World War 2!
Ground-based facilities include a large carpeted packing area, creeping pad, video debriefing rooms, a cafe and most importantly of all - a bar. There is also a free bunkhouse on site and free shower facilities. Because of it's military background, Netheravon is able to offer some of the cheapest jump prices in the UK.
