On the First weekend that the dropzone reopens, the 17-18th March, Netheravon will once again host the annual varsity competition between us and Southampton uni. The competition will consist of 3 or 4 way FS and accuracy, with the catagories student and A cert and above. Anyone will be able to enter the accuracy competition, even if you've only done one jump. The accuracy event will run concurrently with the student and A licence accuracy competition already planned for this weekend. Scores from this competition will be used for both competitions. For the FS competition, the minimum requirement will be FS1. I'll need to know definite numbers for the FS comp at least a week in advance, so that a final descision can be made on 3 or 4 way (this will depend on numbers) and gives both unis time to put people into teams. Eligability to score points will be the same as the BCPA comp requirements, so either a current student or under 4 years from the date of your graduation. More details to follow.

Naturally the competitive spirit will be brought to the bar on the saturday night, with the possibility of extra points to be earned. I've never seen a portsmouth team loose to anyone, military or student, in the bar!

Student or A licence skydivers who want to take part in the accuracy comp will need to complete the form on the link below. full details about the event are included here:

Lets get as many of us as possible to this! if you're a student, you should be looking to get refreshed this weekend after the DZ closure, so why not enter the accuracy while you're there? We're aiming to put in two 4 way teams, so if you have FS1, get your name down. If you haven't yet got FS1, you still have 4 weekends at middle wallop and a weekend at BCPA Langar (which will be shitting coaches) to get it sorted.

Everyone who is interested in competing in any part of the comp, please post here with which parts you'd like to compete in, so I can get a rough idea of how many people we have for each event. Any questions about any aspect of the comp can be asked here.

I'm up for accuracy (YES) and FS.

Available to coach for the last 3 weekends of middle wallop as well for anyone who's hoping to get their FS1 squared.

That's if you don't have to abort your final and land cross wind due to an overshoot? :-p

Should be a good weekend!
