Want to skydive for FREE?
And raise money for charity?

Well done to everyone who took part in the RAG charity skydive this year! We couldn't have asked for a better weekend; despite the bad weather forecast for Sunday the sun still came out and we got everyone jumped. 

In total we raised over £6,000 for the nominated RAG charities!

If you didn't get the chance to take part in the RAG charity skydive this year keep an eye out next year as we're hoping to make it an annual event.

We're teaming up with RAG (Raising and Giving) to organise a charity skydiving event on the 26/27 April 2008 to mark the start of RAG Week, and if you raise enough money you can skydive for FREE!

We're offering the option of doing either a tandem skydive or a weekend-long solo static line course; use the menu on the left to see details about each type of jump.

The MINIMUM amount you need to raise in sponsorship to skydive for free is £250, which includes transport to the dropzone (near Salisbury).

To sign up to the RAG charity skydive event please e-mail rag@skydiveport.co.uk stating if you would like to do a tandem skydive or the solo static line course, and also if you require transport.

We require a £30 deposit to be paid into the Cash Office at the Students' Union by Friday 4 April 2008 if you would like to do a tandem skydive on Sunday 27 April 2008, or the weekend-long solo static line course. The £30 deposit will be deducted from the sponsorship money when the sponsorship money is paid in.

WANT TO HAVE YOUR TANDEM SKYDIVE FILMED FOR FREE?
As we want to raise as much money as possible for this years' nominated RAG charities we are offering an incentive to encourage you to try and raise more sponsorship. The person doing a tandem skydive that raises the most sponsorship money will get their jump filmed for FREE!!! Which would normally cost £95!

TANDEM SKYDIVE - SUNDAY 27 APRIL 2008
Due to the poplarity of this event we can no longer take deposits for tandem skydives on Saturday 26 April 2008, but we do still have spaces available on Sunday 27 April 2008. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis from when deposits are paid in.

PLEASE NOTE
The cost of the jump includes British Parachute Association third party insurance; however it does not include personal accident insurance. The University of Portsmouth Students’ Union is now making it compulsory for everyone taking part in the RAG Charity Skydive event to take out personal accident insurance with Extreme Plus specialist sports insurers at a cost of £20, which we will arrange on your behalf, but unfortunately you will have to pay for yourself.
